Hello! I'm Rachel Loesche

I'm interested in helping organize citizens assemblies using FOSS tools, especially to establish strong solidarity networks based on just, humanist economics. I volunteer for various organizations that are pro-democracy and for solidarity economies on paper but struggle to function democratically in their internal operations. DiEM25 and Indivisible are two examples, where the mission statements are democratic but the organizations' structures don't embody these ideals as well as perhaps they could. The more I learn how to help form and participate in self-organizing democratic groups like NoVA SEN with Decidim, the more I hope to know how to help others do it with me. Happy to be here!
