NOVA Organizer Fair ft. NOVASEN

The NOVA Organizer Fair invited NOVASEN to table and speak at the event. Those community members who ceonsented to be photographed and have the photo shared are featured in the image here, and others participated as well. It was a gatherling of local activist and community organizations getting together to exchange ideas, begin collaborations, and build coalitions in Northern Virginia. The resonance with others makes our work easier and more successful, so events like this remind us that we are not alone and what we are doing makes a big impact, contributing to a movement that extends well beyond NOVA. Those of us in NOVASEN were in good company. The organizers of the Fair even noted that the inspiration for the event came directly from NOVASEN Team Leader Eleanor Finley's book, Practicing Social Ecology! Perhaps next year the SEN will participate even more in the organization of the new annual fair to give back as much as we can to our fellow NOVA activists and communities.
