The NOVA Web Development cooperative and its partner cooperative in Liberia, Jetro Web Development, have been discussing building a solidarity economy school in Liberia with the goal of providing education in social justice computing and other solidarity economy skills needed to help develop a just, sustainable economy in Liberia.
After that, the non-profit organization Social Justice Computing (
https://sjcompute.org/) was created with support for the SE economy / social justice tech project in Liberia as its main focus. Without the support of the public school system, we envision forming a non-profit organization in Liberia which would own the school.
Jetro Web Development has 7 deeply committed members who could play the central role in managing this project. Solidarity economy collaboration and support from NoVASEN could play a vital role in helping it succeed.
