Collective Governance

It is our working model to use the consent decision-making process as often as possible. Consent decision-making is similar to consensus, but instead of everyone pushing to get exactly what they each want, everyone agrees to consent as long as a decision is good enough for now and safe enough to try. This happens during a round in which each person has a chance to consent or object. If someone objects, that means someone sees a reason why the decision is not good enough for now or safe enough to try. That’s why the objection is then immediately taken into consideration and the proposal is changed to account for the objection.
